About Us

Your local friend in China, one message away

China TravelPal exists because visiting China is extraordinary — and needlessly confusing without help. We're here to remove the confusion, so you can enjoy the extraordinary.

Why we built this

China is one of the most rewarding places on earth to travel — high-speed trains, incredible food, three thousand years of history. It's also the place where your usual travel toolkit quietly stops working: your cards may not tap, your favorite apps may not load, the signage may not translate, and the advice online is often outdated the month you read it. Everyone who visits ends up wishing for the same thing — a knowledgeable local friend they could just ask.

So we built one. China TravelPal is that friend, available in your pocket, 24/7.

What we are

China TravelPal is an AI travel companion for China, built specifically for foreign visitors. Chat with it like you'd message a friend — right now in Telegram, with no download or signup: how to pay when your card won't work, which train to take, what a menu says, how to explain a food allergy in Mandarin. It answers instantly, in plain language, drawing on a curated knowledge base built for exactly these moments.

We've felt every one of these headaches firsthand — the cards that won't tap, the apps that won't load, the advice that's outdated the month you read it — and we care about getting the details right.

Carefully sourced

On fast-changing topics like visas, entry rules, and payments we cite official sources and keep our knowledge base current. When something is uncertain, we say so — and point you to the authority that can confirm it.

Information, not advice

China TravelPal helps you plan and decide with confidence, but the final call is always yours. We're a well-researched companion, not a legal, immigration, financial, or medical advisor — our disclaimer spells out exactly how to use us responsibly.

Honest recommendations

We don't sell bookings, tours, or insurance, and our recommendations are never paid placements — when we suggest an app, a train route, or a neighborhood, it's because we believe it's the right answer for you. Some links on our blog are affiliate links that may earn us a small commission at no extra cost to you; we always disclose them, and they never decide what we recommend.

Private by design

Your questions stay between you and the bot. We collect only what we need to run the service, and no traveler content is ever sent to a China-based model.
