Your trip, your data

China TravelPal is built to help you, not to harvest your data. We never ask for your passport, ID, or card number; your messages are processed by established AI providers; and we keep only the little that helps your trip.

What we collect

To help with your trip, China TravelPal stores what you tell the bot: the cities and dates of your trip, the questions you ask, and your nationality (for the visa/entry check). So it can follow the thread of a conversation, it also keeps your recent chat — the messages back and forth — for a short time. We also keep an account id that lets the bot recognize you between messages. We don't ask for your name, email, or phone number.

What we never ask for

We deliberately don't collect sensitive identifiers. The bot will never ask for your passport number, government ID number, or payment-card details — and it actively reminds you not to send them. Please don't.

How long we keep it

We keep your trip details (cities, dates, nationality) while they're useful for your trip. Your recent conversation is kept for a short time — about 30 days — so the bot can follow the thread of your chat, then deleted. The questions you ask are also retained for a limited time — up to about 90 days — so we can improve our answers and spot gaps in our travel knowledge, and are deleted after that. You can ask us to remove your data at any time.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. China TravelPal never sees or stores your card number — Stripe processes the payment and tells us only that it succeeded.

Reviews and photos you share

After a paid service we may ask how we did. If you rate us well, we may ask whether we can quote your feedback or feature photos you choose to share — publicly, credited by first name and country only. We only ever do this when you explicitly say yes, and you can withdraw consent at any time by telling the bot.

Who else is involved

Your messages travel through Telegram, the messaging app you're using to chat with the bot. What we store is kept in a secure managed database, and we encrypt data in transit. We use established, reputable service providers.

Changes

We may update this notice from time to time; the current version always applies. Your continued use of China TravelPal means you accept it.

Questions, or want your data removed? Email us at [email protected] or ask the bot.
